Ethereum spot exchange-traded funds (ETFs) in the United States continued their prolonged outflow streak on June 2, with fresh data from crypto data platform SoSoValue showing a net outflow of $90.1481 million (Eastern Time), extending the run of consecutive daily redemptions to 16 trading days.
The day's outflows were heavily concentrated in the two largest products. BlackRock's iShares Ethereum Trust ETF (ETHA) saw net redemptions of $44.2681 million, accounting for roughly 49.1% of the total. Grayscale's Ethereum Mini Trust ETF (ETH) followed with $25.4062 million in net outflows, representing about 28.2% of the aggregate. Despite these single-day exits, ETHA's historical cumulative net inflow remains at $11.356 billion, and ETH's cumulative inflow stands at $1.876 billion, underscoring the deep capital pools built up over longer periods.
Sustained Pressure from Key Issuers
The persistence of the outflow trend suggests that institutional and professional investors are tactically reducing exposure to spot Ethereum assets, possibly in response to shifting macroeconomic or regulatory dynamics. The combined daily withdrawal of nearly $70 million from the two heavyweights acts as a cautionary signal for near-term market sentiment.
Total Asset Size and Market Ratio
As of the latest data refresh, the aggregate net asset value of Ethereum spot ETFs stood at $10.530 billion. The ETF-to-Ethereum market cap ratio — which measures the share of all ETH locked in these regulated funds relative to Ethereum's total market capitalization — came in at 4.58%, a significant footprint. Notably, the historical cumulative net inflow since the funds' inception hit $11.240 billion, exceeding the current net asset value by approximately $710 million. This gap partly reflects earlier waves of substantial inflows and asset appreciation that have buttressed the overall fund size despite the recent bleeding.
