According to FalconX data, Hyperliquid's trading volume has exceeded Ethereum on some trading days, with institutional funds rotating from Bitcoin and Ethereum to HYPE token, driven by weak performance of mainstream assets due to ETF outflows and macro uncertainty.

According to a ChainCatcher report, crypto brokerage FalconX has observed that decentralized derivatives platform Hyperliquid has on some trading days surpassed Ethereum in trading volume. This coincides with a shift of institutional funds from major assets like Bitcoin and Ethereum into Hyperliquid's native token HYPE, a trend that has become increasingly evident in recent weeks. On certain days, Hyperliquid's 24-hour volume has even outpaced the total decentralized exchange volume on the Ethereum mainnet.

FalconX attributes the rotation to the weak performance of mainstream crypto assets. Bitcoin and Ethereum are facing the double headwinds of persistent ETF outflows and heightened macroeconomic uncertainty, leading to sluggish price action. As a result, institutional investors are turning to emerging protocols such as Hyperliquid in search of growth opportunities.

Hyperliquid, a decentralized platform specializing in perpetual contract trading, has attracted a large number of traders with its high throughput and low fees. The HYPE token serves not only as a governance token within the ecosystem but also offers trading fee discounts, among other utilities. As platform trading volumes climb, demand and trading activity for HYPE have risen in tandem.
