ChainCatcher reported that veteran U.S. asset manager Federated Hermes has announced the launch of the Federated Hermes Money Market Management Digital Treasury Fund. The product is a money market fund designed to meet the stablecoin regulatory requirements set out under the GENIUS Act, with stablecoin issuers identified as its primary target users.
Collateral Assets Capped at 93 Days
According to the announcement, the fund’s collateral assets will have maturities of no more than 93 days. Its investment scope includes cash, U.S. Treasuries and other highly liquid assets. This structure places the fund within a liquidity-focused investment framework while aligning it with reserve asset needs connected to stablecoin issuance.
Federated Hermes said the fund is not limited to stablecoin issuers. It is also open to institutional investors and retail investors. The newly launched digital Treasury money market fund combines Federated Hermes’ money market management offering with the GENIUS Act’s regulatory requirements for stablecoins, as described in the company’s announcement.
