Gate founder and CEO Dr. Han said in a recent interview with crypto media outlet Bitcoin.com that the company has grown from building its core trading system in 2013 into a platform serving users in more than 130 countries and regions, with over 61 million users globally. In the interview, he also expanded on the strategy behind his TOKEN2049 keynote, "One Gate, Everything Money." According to Dr. Han, users have long faced fragmented capital management because of the divide between traditional finance and crypto markets. He said people often need to move funds repeatedly across banks, brokerages, and crypto platforms, while leaving large amounts of cash in bank accounts that generate no yield and lose value to inflation. At the same time, assets such as stocks and gold are not easily available for instant spending because of liquidity constraints. To address that problem, Gate has launched Gate Money, an integrated financial application that combines fiat currencies, crypto assets, gold, ETFs, and more than 12,800 global stocks in a single account. Dr. Han said the system is designed so assets can remain invested until the moment of payment, when they are converted into fiat to complete a transaction.

Gate founder and CEO Dr. Han said in a recent interview with crypto media outlet Bitcoin.com that the company has grown from building its underlying trading system in 2013 into a platform serving more than 130 countries and regions, with over 61 million users.

The interview also focused on the strategy behind his TOKEN2049 keynote, "One Gate, Everything Money." Dr. Han used the conversation to explain how Gate sees the gap between traditional finance and crypto, and how it plans to respond to that gap with a broader financial product.

Dr. Han points to fragmented capital management

According to Dr. Han, users have long dealt with fragmented money management because traditional finance and crypto markets remain separated. He said users often need to transfer funds repeatedly among banks, brokerages, and crypto platforms.

He also said many people have had to keep large amounts of cash sitting in bank accounts, exposing those funds to inflation and producing no yield. At the same time, assets such as stocks and gold, while viewed as high-quality assets, are not easy to use for immediate spending because of liquidity limits.

Gate introduces Gate Money

To address that issue, Gate has officially launched Gate Money, an integrated financial application. According to the company description cited in the interview, the product brings fiat currencies, crypto assets, gold, ETFs, and more than 12,800 global stocks into a single account.

Dr. Han said this structure means users do not need to keep large amounts of idle, low-yield cash. Instead, they can allocate capital to assets with value-preservation and appreciation potential. When spending demand arises, the system converts the relevant asset into fiat at the time of payment, allowing funds to stay invested until the transaction is made.
