Gate founder and CEO Dr. Han used an interview with Bitcoin.com during TOKEN2049 in Singapore to lay out the thinking behind the company’s “One Gate, Everything Money” vision and the structure of its Gate Money product. He said the company’s shift from a crypto exchange toward a broader financial platform is centered on changing how users manage capital. In his view, idle cash loses value to inflation, while assets such as stocks and gold often remain less liquid in day-to-day use. Gate Money is designed to bring fiat currencies, crypto assets, gold, stocks, and wealth management and spending functions into a single account so users do not need to keep large cash balances for routine liquidity needs. Dr. Han said users could instead rely on higher-quality assets as a source of liquidity for transfers and payments, while the underlying system would automatically convert assets into fiat at the point of settlement. He summed up the idea by saying the future of finance is not about holding cash, but about making all assets flow instantly and using capital more efficiently.

According to Bitcoin.com, Gate founder and CEO Dr. Han gave an interview during TOKEN2049 in Singapore, where he discussed the company’s "One Gate, Everything Money" vision and the architecture behind Gate Money.

Why Gate is pushing beyond the exchange model

Dr. Han said the logic behind Gate’s move from an exchange toward a broader financial platform comes down to changing the user experience around capital management. In the traditional model, he said, idle cash loses value because of inflation, while assets such as stocks and gold are not easily used as liquid funds.

Gate Money, as he described it, is built to remove the divide between traditional finance and the crypto market by bringing fiat, crypto assets, gold, stocks, and wealth management and spending scenarios into a single account.

Using investment assets as everyday liquidity

Under that structure, users would no longer need to hold large amounts of idle cash. Instead, they could use assets such as gold and stocks as a source of liquidity for instant spending and transfers. That setup is meant to cut out the friction of moving funds across multiple platforms while pushing capital efficiency higher across a user’s portfolio.

Dr. Han said, "The future of finance is not about holding cash, but about making all assets instantly liquid and maximizing capital efficiency."

Automatic conversion at the point of payment

He also said the integrated structure allows users to allocate all of their capital to higher-quality assets with the potential to preserve or increase value, without giving up investment returns just to maintain day-to-day liquidity.

When settlement takes place, the underlying system automatically converts assets into fiat at the point of payment, according to Dr. Han. That means each unit of capital can remain in productive investment use until it is actually spent, creating a direct link from asset holding to instant payment.
