According to data from crypto data platform Coinglass, total liquidations across the cryptocurrency market reached $792 million in the past 24 hours. Long positions accounted for the majority, totaling $611 million, while short positions saw $181 million in liquidations. Liquidations occur when traders using leverage are forced out of their positions due to insufficient margin, often a sign of sharp market volatility.

The liquidation event affected 185,102 traders globally. The largest single liquidation order was a BTCUSDT trade on Binance valued at $11.81 million, highlighting the intensity of the ongoing tug-of-war between bulls and bears.

This large-scale liquidation serves as a reminder of the high risks associated with leveraged trading, urging investors to exercise proper risk management, especially during turbulent market conditions.
