According to SoSoValue data, as of 8:00 AM Eastern Time on June 22, 2026, the total net Bitcoin purchases by global listed companies (excluding mining firms) last week amounted to merely $43.48 million, a sharp decline of 56.5% compared to the previous week. This significant drop reflects a marked slowdown in institutional buying activity, though some companies continued to accumulate.
Global Listed Firms' Bitcoin Net Purchases Fall 56.5%
Amid the overall contraction, the largest buyer, Strategy (formerly MicroStrategy), continued to increase its holdings. Last week, Strategy spent approximately $34.9 million to acquire 520 Bitcoin at an average price of $67,068, bringing its total holdings to 847,363 BTC. Meanwhile, Japanese listed company Metaplanet made no purchases for the ninth consecutive week.
Strategy and Two New Buyers in Focus
Besides Strategy, two other companies executed Bitcoin purchases last week. Japanese food brand DayDayCook announced on June 17 that it spent $7.43 million to buy 95 Bitcoin at an average price of $78,204, lifting its total holdings to 2,899 BTC. Brazilian Bitcoin firm OrangeBTC invested $1.15 million on June 21 to acquire 18 Bitcoin at an average price of $64,121, increasing its total holdings to 3,822 BTC.
As of press time, the tracked global listed companies (excluding miners) collectively hold 1,141,444 Bitcoin, up 1.79% from the previous week, with a current market value of approximately $73.92 billion, representing 5.7% of Bitcoin's circulating supply. Although weekly net purchases have dropped sharply, the total corporate holdings continue to grow steadily.
