Google has started rolling out Gemini 4 Argon to paid Google AI Pro subscribers, widening access to a model that had previously been limited to higher-priced Ultra users inside the Antigravity AI coding tool. Argon was already available in the Gemini app, but its use in Antigravity had remained restricted. With the change, Pro subscribers can now access the flagship model through the Antigravity desktop app and CLI for complex coding, debugging, and multi-step development work. Google has also assigned a separate weekly usage quota for Argon under the Pro plan, which does not draw from the existing Gemini 3.8 Flash allowance, letting the two models be used independently. The rollout still comes with limits: Argon does not support Antigravity’s built-in IDE and can only be called through the desktop app, CLI, or third-party IDE extensions. The access expansion applies only to fully paid Pro subscriptions, while trial subscriptions are excluded.
