You change an FPL team name on the “Team details” page, and the same page also lets you change the team supported. Country is updated in “myPremierLeague Settings” on premierleague.com, while the team badge is handled through Adobe Express.
Where each team detail is changed
Here are the team details and the place used to change each one.
| Item | Where | Note |
|---|---|---|
| Team name | Team details page | Offensive names can lead to the team being deleted |
| Team supported | Team details page | Supporters' league fixed after the first deadline |
| Country | myPremierLeague Settings on premierleague.com | Country league fixed after the first deadline |
| Team badge | Adobe Express | No Adobe account needed in 2026/27 |
What the naming rules allow FPL to do
When a team or league is registered, managers are asked to think carefully before entering a name. If a name is judged inappropriate or offensive, the team, the league, or both can be deleted under the rules.
Offensive names and offensive badge images can be reported by giving the manager name and the team or league name. The person making the report does not have their details shared.
What changes affect leagues, and when
Selecting a favourite club before the first deadline puts the team into that club's supporters' league automatically. The supported club can still be edited later on the “Team details” page, but after the first deadline that change no longer affects the supporters' league.
The country league works differently because it follows the country in the manager's premierleague.com profile. That setting is updated in “myPremierLeague Settings”, and the country league no longer changes after the first Gameweek deadline.
For badges, managers can keep the Adobe Express badge created in 2025/26 or make one for 2026/27. No Adobe account is needed this season.
How many teams one person can enter
FPL allows each person to enter only one team. That single team can still be entered in many leagues, so multiple league entries do not mean multiple teams are allowed.
FAQ
Can you change the team you support in FPL?
Yes. The supported club is changed on the “Team details” page. After the first deadline, though, the supporters' league does not update with that change.
What happens if an FPL team name is offensive?
An inappropriate or offensive name can lead to the team being deleted. The same rule can also apply to league names, and badge images can be reported as well.
Does changing country update your country league?
The country setting is changed in “myPremierLeague Settings” on premierleague.com. After the first Gameweek deadline, the country league is fixed, so later profile changes do not move the team into a different country league.
Can one person have more than one FPL team?
No. Each person may enter only one team. That team can join many leagues, which is separate from the one-team rule.
