SOL treasury company Solana Company (HSDT) has laid out its voting stance on the first three Solana Governance Proposals ahead of on-chain voting expected to begin on Aug. 22. The firm said it supports SGP-0001, the "Solana Constitution," while opposing SGP-0002, which would double the pace of inflation reduction, and SGP-0003, which would shift transaction fees from a fixed model to a floating one. HSDT said its objection to the latter two proposals is about timing rather than direction. According to the company, Solana is at a stage where institutions are weighing entry, and those participants place high value on stable and predictable rules. In that context, changing two core economic parameters — inflation and fees — could make still-hesitant institutions more reluctant. HSDT added that it would support reopening discussion on lower inflation after SOL shows sustained net capital inflows, and would also reconsider floating fees once the ecosystem has had time to adapt.

Solana Company (HSDT), a SOL treasury company, announced its voting position on the first three Solana Governance Proposals on Aug. 21, according to BlockBeats.

HSDT said it supports SGP-0001, the "Solana Constitution." It opposes SGP-0002, which would double the pace of inflation reduction, and SGP-0003, which would change transaction fees from a fixed model to a floating one. On-chain voting is expected to begin on Aug. 22.

Why HSDT supports SGP-0001

The company said it backs the Solana Constitution because the new governance system would allow every staker to vote directly. It also said token holders would remain able to override votes cast by the operators to whom they delegated, a structure HSDT believes would help institutional participants take part in network decision-making.

Why it opposes the other two proposals for now

HSDT said its opposition to the other two proposals does not reflect opposition to the broader direction. Its concern is the timing.

According to the company, this is a key period for institutions considering entry into Solana, and those participants care most about rules being stable and predictable. Adjusting inflation and transaction fees at this stage — two core economic parameters — could make institutions that are still on the sidelines more hesitant.

What could change its view later

HSDT said it would support renewed discussion around lower inflation after SOL sees sustained net capital inflows. It also said it would be willing to reconsider a floating fee model after the ecosystem has adapted.
