Glassdoor has put NVIDIA co-founder and CEO Jensen Huang at No. 1 in its annual ranking of the 50 best CEOs in the U.S., backed by a 99% employee approval rating.
The survey drew on anonymous employee reviews submitted between May 16, 2025 and May 15, 2026. Among the “Magnificent Seven,” only Apple CEO Tim Cook made the list, ranking 37th.
Glassdoor said technology was the most represented sector in this year’s ranking, with nine tech CEOs included. Real estate followed, then financial services and manufacturing.
The platform said AI is reshaping the modern workplace and that leadership has never mattered more. Its ranking now focuses on how a CEO’s leadership affects employee experience and company reputation, rather than on broader company performance measures.
Huang was joined in the top five by Jason Johnson of Quick Quack Car Wash, Kevin Lobo of Stryker, Alan Schnitzer of Travelers, and Chris Czarnecki of Keller Williams.
Employee feedback on Glassdoor described NVIDIA’s leadership and research environment in positive terms. The reviews pointed to Huang’s clear vision for the company, his support for cross-team collaboration, and room for employees to work on advanced AI research.
Glassdoor economist Daniel Zhao said internal data show employee ratings of senior executives have fallen to a near-decade low, with trust continuing to weaken. He said the CEOs who ranked well stood out for clear operating goals, transparent communication, and a consistent company mission.
Glassdoor also said a people-first environment with room for autonomy is one of the main reasons NVIDIA has maintained an edge in workplace satisfaction and talent retention.
