Justin Sun said a federal court hearing in California went in his favor on a key procedural dispute with World Liberty Financial, or WLFI, a crypto project tied to the Trump family. According to Sun, his legal team successfully opposed WLFI’s attempt to force the dispute into confidential arbitration and seal related filings. He said the judge ruled that all of his personal claims will remain in open court. Sun also said the court rejected WLFI’s argument that all company-related claims should be sent to arbitration. Instead, the judge ordered both sides to meet and confer on which of those claims should stay in court and which, if any, should proceed through arbitration. In the same statement, Sun alleged that WLFI built unilateral powers into its USD1 stablecoin, including the ability to freeze, restrict, or destroy tokens held by any holder. Foresight News had previously reported that WLFI blacklisted Sun’s address in 2025 and locked 540 million unlocked tokens and 2.4 billion locked tokens tied to him. Sun said repeated public appeals and communication efforts did not produce a result.

Justin Sun said his legal team prevailed at a federal court hearing in California after opposing an effort by World Liberty Financial, or WLFI, to push the dispute into confidential arbitration and seal court records.

According to Sun, the judge ruled that all of his personal claims will remain in open court. He also said the court rejected WLFI’s position that all company-related claims should be arbitrated, and directed both sides to confer on where certain claims should go next, either staying in court or moving to arbitration.

Sun also alleged that WLFI embedded unilateral backdoor powers in the USD1 stablecoin, including the ability to freeze, restrict, or destroy tokens held by any holder.

Foresight News previously reported that WLFI blacklisted Sun’s address in 2025 and locked 540 million unlocked tokens and 2.4 billion locked tokens associated with him. Sun later made multiple public appeals and attempted communication, but those efforts did not lead to a resolution.
