Kamino has crossed a major threshold in decentralized finance, with its real-world asset (RWA) lending market size on Solana topping $1 billion. The platform manages $400 million in active RWA-backed loans, reflecting rapid expansion since December 2025.
6,338 Active Loans Across Six Distinct Markets
According to Kamino's latest update, the platform now handles 6,338 active loans spread across six separate RWA markets. These include home equity loans, tokenized equities, money market instruments, and reinsurance assets. The variety underscores Kamino's push to bridge traditional finance with blockchain lending.
Growth in both market size and borrowing activity has been steady since December 2025. Early gains were gradual, but sharp upticks occurred around mid-January and early March 2026, signaling rising investor interest.
“These markets require robust credit infrastructure to provide the liquidity and risk frameworks that allow real-world assets to integrate with onchain capital,” Kamino tweeted. The ratio of borrowed amounts to market expansion suggests healthy loan utilization without excessive leverage.
Tokenized RWA Sector Reaches $26.78B
The broader tokenized RWA industry also shows positive momentum. Data from Falcon Finance puts distributed asset value at $26.78 billion, a 7.74% increase over the past 30 days, indicating growing adoption of blockchain-based financial products.
Total represented asset value within the ecosystem stands at $352.40 billion, despite a short-term dip of 2.74%. Analysts note that represented value refers to underlying assets linked to tokens, while distributed value covers assets issued on-chain; the gap stems from token issuance stages.
Platforms like Kamino offer transparency, accessibility, and liquidity for traditionally illiquid assets. Investors gain exposure to institutional-grade assets—government bonds, commodities, credit instruments, and private equity—through tokenization on Solana.
