U.S. stock researcher KawzInvests said on Aug. 16 that Alibaba (BABA) is still undervalued by the market, pointing to growth across its cloud and AI businesses as well as the value of its semiconductor holdings. In the post, KawzInvests said Alibaba Cloud’s external revenue rose 40% year over year last quarter. The researcher also said revenue from Alibaba’s AI products has now recorded triple-digit growth for 11 consecutive quarters, extending a streak that the post framed as a key part of the company’s current valuation case. KawzInvests also highlighted Alibaba’s stake in ChangXin Memory Technologies, or CXMT. According to the post, Alibaba holds about a 5% stake in CXMT. The initial investment cost for that position was about RMB 7.6 billion, while the value of the holding has now climbed above $20 billion.
