CryptoQuant founder Ki Young Ju said on Oct. 16 that analysts are not focused on the possibility that MicroStrategy, or MSTR, could be removed from the MSCI index, arguing that the market consensus on the stock remains firmly bullish. In a post on X, he pointed to target prices from several Wall Street firms: $240 from Citi, $175 from Barclays, and $195 from B. Riley. He also said those targets have been trending higher rather than lower.
Ju argued that the MSCI issue is mainly a fund-flow narrative and has already been priced in by the market. In his view, the more important indicators at this stage are an mNAV of about 1.0x, STRC trading at par, and $3.75 billion in reserves that can cover dividends. He said the bullish case for MSTR has not been shaken by MSCI-related concerns as Wall Street price targets move up and key financial metrics remain supportive.

He said the MSCI angle is a fund-flow narrative that has already been priced in. The metrics that matter now, in his view, are mNAV at about 1.0x, STRC at par, and $3.75 billion in reserves available to cover dividends.
Based on rising Wall Street targets and those key financial indicators, Ju said the bullish thesis for MSTR remains intact despite the MSCI factor.
