LeBron James says a Polymarket partnership is coming

NBA star LeBron James said on X that he had visited prediction market platform Polymarket’s headquarters and would soon enter into a partnership with the company, writing 「Coming Soon」.

A video posted by James showed several categories displayed at Polymarket, including crypto, sports, economy, culture, weather, and esports. James pressed the sports button, suggesting the partnership may focus on sports.

Tom Lee says crypto stocks are crowding the top of the Russell 1000 in Q3

Tom Lee, chairman of Ethereum treasury company Bitmine, said on X that about 20% of the best-performing Russell 1000 stocks since the start of the third quarter are tied to crypto.

He pointed to BMNR, up 99% in the quarter and ranked No. 4; MSTR, up 67% and ranked No. 12; CRCL, up 65% and ranked No. 14; and BLSH, up 55% and ranked No. 21.

Lee added that with one month left before the third quarter ends, those strong-performing crypto stocks could become targets for investors next.

Cathie Wood says bitcoin and gold are starting to diverge

Cathie Wood said on X that bitcoin is gradually decoupling from gold and beginning to diverge from it, while companies embracing AI are accelerating job creation. In her view, those signals are not isolated from one another and may indicate stronger real economic growth and a powerful deflationary cycle driven by technological progress.

She also said market consensus is still pricing assets under an 「old economy」 framework while a 「new economy」 is taking shape.

BonkGuy says BNB Chain could be the next meme focal point

Trader BonkGuy said on X that Robinhood Chain has already produced several high-market-cap projects, including PONS, CASHCAT, and AI, with more than a dozen projects reaching valuations in the $10 million to $100 million range.

He said market attention is shifting toward BNB Chain and that MARSCOIN has already emerged as the leading name in the BNB meme and stock narrative. BonkGuy cited Binance’s roughly 320 million users, MARSCOIN’s listing on Binance spot and perpetual markets, and trading gateways such as fomo that lower the barrier for Western users to trade BNB Chain memes.

He also referenced SAFEMOON, which was launched on BNB Chain and at one point reached a $17 billion market capitalization two cycles ago, as a possible gauge for the scale of a broader BNB meme breakout.

Industry developments

Washington state seeks to revoke Coinflip license and impose a $1.0296 million fine

Coinflip and its CEO, Benjamin Weiss, were accused by the Washington State Department of Financial Institutions, or DFI, of violating the Uniform Money Services Act.

The DFI is seeking to revoke Coinflip’s money transmitter license, bar the company and related executives from continuing in the industry, and impose a $1.0296 million fine.

According to the regulator, a 2025 examination found weak anti-money laundering controls, insufficient transaction monitoring, failure to enforce transaction limits, inaccurate regulatory reporting, and unclear fee disclosures. The DFI also alleged that Coinflip failed to return funds to at least 15 customers in a timely manner as required.

Trump says Hyperliquid is being pushed into the U.S. in a compliant way

U.S. President Donald Trump said his administration is working to bring decentralized perpetuals platform Hyperliquid into the U.S. market in a 「fully compliant and lawful way」.

Last month, Trump said the Commodity Futures Trading Commission, or CFTC, would work to help Hyperliquid enter the U.S. market. After that, Payward, Kraken’s parent company, said it was working with the CFTC through the regulated platform Bitnomial to offer registered U.S. users some crypto perpetual products tied to the Hyperliquid market and its underlying Layer 1 blockchain.

Project updates

Offchain Labs co-founder says only 7.7% of ARB supply will remain locked

Offchain Labs co-founder Steven Goldfeder said on X that the market has widely misunderstood ARB’s token supply structure, with some datasets counting DAO-held tokens as 「locked」.

He said unlocks for ARB investors and team members are nearly complete and are expected to finish in March next year. At that point, remaining locked tokens would account for only about 7.7% of the total ARB supply.

PAIR says it has burned more than $3 million worth of tokens

PAIR, a multi-pool RWA token issuance platform on Robinhood Chain, released updated ecosystem figures showing cumulative trading volume had nearly reached $100 million, creator rewards had exceeded $600,000, and more than 2,000 projects had launched through the protocol.

PAIR also said it has burned more than $3 million worth of PAIR tokens so far, representing more than 10% of total token supply. The project added that it will announce its 「biggest update to date」 within the next 24 hours.

Solana and Arbitrum co-founders clash again over sequencer models

Arbitrum co-founder Steven Goldfeder said users should not fall into what he called the narrative trap of simply comparing on-chain transaction prices. He said Arbitrum One and Robinhood Chain both work to reduce harmful MEV such as frontrunning, and that some chains advertising low fees may actually impose higher MEV costs, with retail users paying hidden costs through frontrunning and sandwich attacks.

Solana co-founder Toly responded that Arbitrum currently has wider bid-ask spreads and higher fees. He said the cost represented by the 10% fee take alone is already higher than sandwiching rates, and estimated that total costs are roughly 10 times higher once worse spreads are included.

Toly added that a model in which a single sequencer maximizes shareholder interests can never beat permissionless market competition.

Vitalik says general-purpose STARK performance has exceeded early expectations

Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin said the Poseidon family of hash functions has, after years of development, produced meaningful real-world value in Ethereum and other fields and will continue to matter in the coming years.

He added that modern privacy protocols can generate SNARK proofs quickly on the client side, and Poseidon is one of the key reasons that is possible.

Ignas criticizes Ethereum’s Layer 2 strategy

DeFi researcher Ignas said on X that Robinhood previously recorded a single-day fee revenue figure of more than $6 million, while Robinhood L2 paid only about $722 in on-chain fees.

He added that about 10% of that fee revenue flows to Arbitrum, while the portion ultimately reaching Ethereum Layer 1 is 「tiny」.
