Lighter released its August data summary. Open interest surpassed $1 billion, trading volume reached approximately $39.5 billion, and its market share in global perpetual contract trading volume continued to rise month-over-month. The independent trading platform built in collaboration with Robinhood also saw significant growth in August, with total trading volume of about $5 billion, over 21,000 accounts, and total transaction fees of approximately $500,000 for the month. Additionally, Lighter repurchased a total of 927,800 LIT in August. According to OKX, LIT is currently trading at $4.42, up over 15.16% in 24 hours.

Lighter has put out its August data report. During the month, open interest (OI) moved past $1 billion, while trading volume came in at about $39.5 billion. And Lighter’s share of global perpetual contract trading volume kept rising on a sequential basis.

The independent trading platform, built with Robinhood, also had a strong August. Total trading volume reached about $5 billion, and the number of accounts climbed above 21,000. Fees added up too: the platform brought in roughly $500,000 in total transaction fees during the month.

And Lighter bought back 927,800 LIT tokens in August. Per OKX data, LIT is now trading at $4.42, up 15.16% over the past 24 hours.
