The people familiar with the matter said that since the beginning of this month, Meta has barred Manus and its employees from accessing the U.S. company’s internal data systems. The same people also said Meta employees can no longer use Manus tools for internal projects. The restrictions therefore apply in both directions: Manus personnel are blocked from Meta’s internal data systems, while Meta teams are also prevented from continuing to rely on Manus tools in their own work. Bloomberg described the arrangement as Meta having completed the separation from Manus at the operational level.
Memo tells staff to move existing Manus projects
An internal memo seen by Bloomberg News showed that Meta is winding down Manus-related business. According to the memo, employees were told to migrate existing Manus projects onto Meta’s own systems and not to start new work on the artificial intelligence platform.
