Techub News, citing CryptoBriefing, reported that Meta Platforms posted revenue of $56.31 billion for the first quarter of 2026, representing 33% year-over-year growth. At the same time, the company said it is lifting its full-year capital expenditure plan to a range of $125 billion to $145 billion, with the spending directed toward superintelligence research and development.
Personal superintelligence becomes a central focus
Mark Zuckerberg said 2026 will be a key year for building “personal superintelligence.” The revised capital expenditure range places Meta’s spending plan around the infrastructure and research needed for that goal. The company also disclosed that it is studying stablecoin payment partnership options and plans to integrate such arrangements into applications including WhatsApp and Instagram.
The report also connected large-scale AI infrastructure development with the energy market and the Bitcoin mining industry. It stated that such infrastructure construction may affect energy markets and Bitcoin mining, while some miners have already shifted toward providing AI hosting services.
