Micron Technology said on Aug. 14 that it has launched the $250 million Micron Ventures Paradigm Fund, the largest third fund under its venture arm to date. The new vehicle is set to invest across the full AI stack, with targets spanning model architecture, computing infrastructure, enterprise applications and physical AI. Micron said AI is moving beyond generative models toward systems that can reason, execute tasks and interact with the physical world, shifting demand for compute, memory and storage. The fund will concentrate on four areas: AI model architecture and data infrastructure; computing technologies such as memory-centric computing and next-generation networking; enterprise applications including semiconductor design and manufacturing; and physical AI, including robotics and new device form factors. Micron Ventures previously launched Fund I in 2019 and Fund II in 2022. With the addition of the new $250 million fund, Micron Ventures’ total capital commitments will rise to $550 million.

Micron Technology (MU) said on Aug. 14 that it has launched the $250 million Micron Ventures Paradigm Fund, the third fund under its venture arm and the largest one it has raised so far.

The new fund will invest across the full AI stack. Its scope covers model architecture, computing infrastructure, enterprise applications and physical AI.

Investment focus spans four areas

Micron said the fund will focus on four investment tracks:

  • AI model architecture and data infrastructure
  • Computing technologies including memory-centric computing and next-generation networking
  • Enterprise applications tied to semiconductor design and manufacturing
  • Physical AI, including robotics and new endpoint form factors

The company said AI is moving from generative models toward systems with reasoning, execution and the ability to interact with the physical world. As that shift takes place, demand for compute, memory and storage is changing as well.

Micron Ventures previously launched Fund I in 2019 and Fund II in 2022. After adding the new $250 million vehicle, total capital commitments at Micron Ventures will increase to $550 million.
