ChainCatcher reported that, according to monitoring by Onchain Lens, a newly created wallet address withdrew 533 BTC from Binance. Based on the figures disclosed in the report, the transfer was valued at approximately $33.4 million. The transaction was identified as a large on-chain movement involving Bitcoin, with Binance listed as the platform from which the funds were withdrawn.
Withdrawal Amount Matches an Earlier Deposit
The report stated that the funds may be connected to the Bhutanese government because the withdrawal amount matches the amount deposited into Binance by a related address two days earlier. The stated basis for the connection is therefore the correspondence between the deposit and withdrawal amounts observed on-chain, rather than an official statement confirming ownership or control of the funds.
As of the time of publication, the attribution has not been officially confirmed and still requires further verification. The confirmed details in the report are limited to the movement of 533 BTC, worth about $33.4 million, from Binance to a newly created wallet address, as monitored by Onchain Lens and reported by ChainCatcher.
