The investment attracted a group of prominent backers including Wintermute Ventures, Robot Ventures, Big Brain VC, Cumberland, GSR, Greenfield Capital, Hash3, Bodhi Ventures, and Kairos Research. Wintermute Ventures is the venture arm of leading crypto market maker Wintermute, while Cumberland and GSR are also well-established market makers in the digital asset space. The amount raised was not disclosed.
Nova Markets focuses on building on-chain infrastructure for perpetual contracts and prediction markets, with the goal of bringing more traditional financial products onto the blockchain. According to the team, the new capital will be used to migrate additional perpetual contract and prediction market products on-chain, enhancing the accessibility and transparency of decentralized financial tools.
