Oddpool Joins Kalshi to Target Institutional Prediction Market Tools
ChainCatcher reports that prediction market data startup Oddpool has announced its integration with Kalshi. Oddpool stated that Ritesh and the company's founder graduated from Y Combinator this spring and completed a $3 million seed round. Since then, they have been building tools at the forefront of institutional adoption of prediction markets, treating these markets as a real asset class.
Oddpool explained its choice to enter the prediction market space because it allows information aggregation through matching buyers and sellers with open auction pricing. Traditional derivatives markets already achieve price discovery for key economic inputs like commodities, energy, and interest rates. Prediction markets, however, extend this to a broader range of areas including politics, sports, climate, and culture.
The company has been developing a data layer to help institutions, economists, policymakers, and business owners interpret data and make decisions. Both parties believe that joining Kalshi will enable them to build from within the ecosystem.
