Offramp confirms an orderly shutdown process
Offramp, a crypto-native cross-border financial platform, has officially announced that it will wind down operations in stages. The notice was published on the company’s blog on July 1, 2026. In its statement, the team said the decision came after significant deliberation and described it as difficult but necessary under current market conditions, which it said had made it challenging to continue building the business.
Rather than shutting everything off immediately, Offramp is implementing a phased closure schedule designed to give users time to withdraw funds, close out open activity, and manage any remaining balances or positions. The company specifically recommended that customers use its web app, app.offramp.xyz, as the primary interface for managing assets and completing withdrawals during the wind-down period. The announcement laid out a service-by-service timeline covering fiat rails, crypto transfers, virtual accounts, cards, and the platform’s Savings & Investments product.
What changed on July 1, 2026
The first set of restrictions took effect immediately on July 1, 2026. Offramp said that instant transfers had been disabled as of that date. QR payments were also turned off. In addition, the company stopped allowing users to create new virtual accounts. Existing virtual accounts, however, may continue to be used until September 30, 2026, giving current account holders a limited transition window.
Changes also affected the investment side of the platform. Offramp said new deposits into Savings & Investments are no longer accepted, and new stock purchases have been disabled. That said, users are still allowed to sell existing holdings and withdraw their balances until December 31, 2026. On the payments side, new orders for physical cards have been disabled, although cards already issued remain functional for the time being.
The mobile experience has also begun winding down. Offramp disclosed that its app has been delisted from both the App Store and Google Play. Users who already installed the application can continue using it temporarily, but only until July 31, 2026. After that, access will shift entirely to the web application.
July 31: fiat rails end, crypto deposits stop, app goes offline
The next major cutoff date is July 31, 2026. On that day, fiat deposits and withdrawals will be fully disabled. Offramp explicitly warned users to remove fiat balances before that deadline, because fiat functionality will no longer be available afterward. This is one of the clearest operational deadlines in the notice and likely the most urgent for users still holding cash balances on the platform.
Offramp also said crypto deposits will be disabled on July 31. The company issued a direct instruction not to send digital assets to any Offramp deposit address after that date. In practice, that means users need to stop using previously assigned platform addresses as soon as the deadline passes, since incoming transfers may no longer be supported through normal account workflows.
Card services are also being scaled down significantly at the end of July. Both physical and virtual cards will stop working for spending after July 31, 2026. However, Offramp noted that refunds and disputes related to prior card transactions can still be requested and processed until September 30, 2026. This gives users a final window to resolve legacy card issues even after spending functionality ends.
Another operational shift on July 31 is the end of the mobile app itself. Offramp said the app will stop working after that date. Users will still be able to access their accounts through the web platform, but anyone relying on the mobile client will need to transition before month-end.
September 30 deadlines for virtual accounts, crypto withdrawals, and card disputes
By September 30, 2026, Offramp will disable virtual accounts entirely. The company advised users to cancel any recurring deposits tied to those accounts before the deadline. This point matters operationally because standing instructions or automated bank transfers sent after the cutoff could run into failed processing or account access issues.
Crypto withdrawals are also scheduled to end on September 30, 2026. Offramp said that any remaining crypto balance left on the platform after withdrawals are disabled will be moved into the user’s embedded wallet. For users who need help accessing that wallet, the company directed them to contact contact@offramp.xyz. This is one of the final asset-management deadlines in the entire shutdown plan and likely the most important one for users still holding digital assets on-platform late in the process.
The same date also serves as the last day for card disputes. Offramp said support for disputes will no longer be available after September 30. Any dispute or refund request related to prior card transactions must therefore be submitted before that deadline.
December 31 marks the final platform closure
The final endpoint in Offramp’s timeline is December 31, 2026. On that date, the company’s Savings & Investments product will be fully closed. Users are required to sell any remaining holdings and withdraw all balances before year-end. Offramp specifically told customers to liquidate everything in the product before that date.
Once that deadline passes, the company said the entire Offramp platform will be fully closed. In other words, while several services terminate earlier in the year, December 31 is the formal end of the platform as a whole.
What users need to do now
Based on the official timeline, users still exposed to Offramp need to address several action items in sequence. Fiat balances should be withdrawn before July 31, 2026. No crypto should be deposited after that same date. Users with virtual accounts should review and cancel recurring funding instructions ahead of September 30, 2026. Crypto holders should complete withdrawals before the September cutoff if they do not want remaining balances moved into the embedded wallet. Anyone with unresolved card issues should also file refund or dispute requests before support ends.
For users with positions in Savings & Investments, the final task is to sell remaining holdings and remove balances before December 31, 2026. Throughout the wind-down, Offramp recommends using app.offramp.xyz for account management and withdrawals. The company closed its message by thanking users and community members, including supporters active in its Discord server since the early days. It said questions can be directed to contact@offramp.xyz or through in-app chat support.
