Open interest tied to Oracle (ORCL) on Hyperliquid’s traditional-market listings rose sharply over the past 24 hours, according to TradingBeats, formerly Hyperinsight. The tracker said ORCL’s open interest value climbed 88.43% to about $57.05 million, the biggest increase among Hyperliquid traditional-market instruments with meaningful trading activity, defined here as $10 million in volume. That move added roughly $26.77 million in notional positioning. ORCL was last quoted at $144.05, up about 9.1% over 24 hours and trading near the session high. Activity picked up with it. Turnover increased from roughly $1.55 million in the prior weekend 24-hour window to $24.43 million, or about 15.8x, while volume rose from 11,800 contracts to 176,200. Large whale positioning, however, remained tilted to the short side. Among million-dollar accounts in the sample, the headcount long-short ratio stood at 1:3, with about $11.113 million in long exposure against $20.478 million in shorts. Over the same 24-hour period, net additions were nearly balanced between the two sides. One address, 0xc8b, previously noted for booking $5.717 million in profits on SKHX, opened the largest new long in this round: 67,100 ORCL contracts worth about $9.536 million at a weighted entry of $142.01.

Oracle (ORCL) open interest on Hyperliquid’s traditional-market venue surged over the past 24 hours, with TradingBeats, formerly Hyperinsight, reporting an 88.43% increase in open interest value to about $57.05 million. That was the largest jump among Hyperliquid traditional-market names with at least $10 million in trading volume. Newly added notional exposure came to roughly $26.77 million.

ORCL was trading at $144.05, up about 9.1% on the day and sitting near the intraday high. Turnover expanded at the same time, rising from about $1.55 million during the previous weekend 24-hour stretch to $24.43 million, an increase of roughly 15.8x. Contract volume climbed from 11,800 to 176,200.

Million-dollar whale positions still lean short

Existing positions among million-dollar whales were still clearly skewed to the short side. The trader count long-short ratio stood at 1:3. Aggregate long exposure was about $11.113 million, versus about $20.478 million in shorts, putting the value-based long-short ratio at roughly 0.54:1.

Over the past 24 hours, net long additions across that sample reached about $11.113 million, while net short additions came to around $10.727 million. On that basis, flows from larger accounts were broadly balanced.

Four addresses entered the million-dollar cohort

Four addresses newly moved into the million-dollar position bracket, with combined holdings of about $20.396 million. Among them, address 0xc8b — previously identified as smart money after locking in $5.717 million in profit from an SKHX rebound trade — emerged as the biggest new long in the latest move.

The wallet accumulated a long position of 67,100 ORCL contracts early today, with transaction value of about $9.536 million and a weighted average entry price of $142.01. As of publication, it was holding the ORCL long on 2x isolated margin, showing an unrealized profit of about $137,000, or 2.9%, with a liquidation price of $74.7. The position accounted for 87% of the value held by newly added million-dollar whale positions, and no resting orders had been placed.

Funding costs moved higher

The cost of chasing the move also increased. ORCL’s hourly funding rate was around +0.0041%, while the cumulative figure for the past 24 hours reached about +0.0529%. That was up about 120% from +0.0240% in the previous 24-hour period.
