BlockBeats reported on June 20 that, according to monitoring by PeckShield, an OLPC/LABUBU liquidity pool on PancakeSwap on BNB Chain was attacked. The incident caused about $1.1 million in losses, with the affected target identified as a liquidity pool operating on BNB Chain.
Stolen funds moved to Ethereum
PeckShield’s monitoring showed that after the attack, the attacker moved the stolen funds across chains to the Ethereum network. The attacker then deposited 633.4 ETH into Tornado Cash.
In addition to that transfer, the attacker also sent 0.0221 BNB and 0.0411 ETH to a “black hole address,” described as an unusable burn address. The disclosed information so far focuses on the attacked pool, the estimated loss amount, and the on-chain movement of the attacker’s funds.
