Polygon Labs has added TRON support to Open Money Stack, giving businesses a single integration to offer stablecoin payments and cross-border transfers. The service is aimed at remittance firms, fintech companies and payment providers that want to use TRON for digital-dollar services without stitching together separate banking access, wallets and orchestration tools first. Polygon said businesses can convert bank transfers, debit card payments or cash into USDT on TRON, then cash out to bank accounts. They can also move USDT between TRON and supported EVM networks without separately connecting to a wallet provider, bridge or fiat-ramp operator. The company said the setup does not remove licensing or regulatory obligations for payment firms. TRON remains one of the main networks for USDT activity, with more than $94 billion of Tether circulating on the chain, while CoinDesk-tracked data showed about 93% of its $30 trillion stablecoin transfer volume in the second quarter was peer-to-peer. Polygon launched Open Money Stack in January after moving to acquire Coinme and Sequence, and said its fiat-ramp service uses money-transmitter licenses and compliance systems covering 48 U.S. states.

Polygon Labs has added support for the TRON network to Open Money Stack, expanding the platform’s stablecoin payments and cross-border transfer capabilities through a single integration.

The company said businesses can move USDT between TRON and supported Ethereum Virtual Machine, or EVM, networks without separately connecting to a wallet provider, bridge or fiat-ramp operator.

Built for remittance firms, fintechs and payment providers

Open Money Stack’s TRON integration is aimed at remittance companies, fintech firms and payment providers. Polygon said a customer can fund a payment with a bank transfer, debit card payment or cash, receive USDT in a TRON wallet, and later cash out to a bank account.

Polygon co-founder Sandeep Nailwal told CoinDesk that Open Money Stack is targeting businesses that want to use TRON for digital-dollar services without first having to combine banking access, wallets and other orchestration layers on their own.

「By connecting TRON to Open Money Stack, we’re giving businesses a way to offer that service through one integration,」 he said.

One connection for payment flows handled by separate providers

Polygon said the integration does not turn TRON into a bank, and it does not remove the licensing obligations of payment firms. What it does provide is a single connection for parts of a payment flow that have often been handled through separate providers.

That means businesses can convert bank transfers, debit card payments or cash into USDT on TRON and cash out to bank accounts, while still remaining responsible for their own licensing and regulatory requirements.

TRON’s USDT scale

TRON is one of the main networks used to move USDT. More than $94 billion of Tether’s dollar-backed token is circulating on the network, according to the article.

CoinDesk-tracked data also showed that about 93% of TRON’s $30 trillion stablecoin transfer volume in the second quarter was peer-to-peer, the highest share among the networks tracked by CoinDesk.

Sun said, 「Customers expect their assets to arrive where they want them regardless of the blockchain they use to transfer funds. Connecting TRON to Polygon’s infrastructure will help businesses serve users across different payment environments.」

Open Money Stack rollout

Polygon unveiled Open Money Stack in January after moving to acquire Coinme and Sequence. The company said its fiat-ramp service uses money-transmitter licenses and compliance systems covering 48 U.S. states.

With TRON now added, Polygon has extended the product’s reach in stablecoin payments and cross-border transfers.
