Ramp's July AI Index, released by the enterprise spend management platform, places Anthropic at the top of the US corporate AI market with a 43.5% adoption rate, an increase of 1.1 percentage points month over month. OpenAI is second at 39.7%, having gained 0.23 percentage points from the prior month, while xAI's adoption climbed to 4.0%. The survey also points to a gap between adoption and actual spend. Anthropic's Fable 5 model accounts for just 6% of enterprise token purchases and 11.4% of total spending. OpenAI's GPT-5.6 SOL model takes a larger share, with 25% of token usage and 23% of spend. Ramp derives the data by monitoring AI product payments across its corporate cards and bill services, giving visibility into which models enterprises rely on in practice. CryptoBriefing reported the results.

Enterprise spend management platform Ramp said its July AI Index puts Anthropic at the forefront of US corporate AI adoption. Anthropic's AI solutions reached a 43.5% adoption rate, up 1.1 percentage points month over month. OpenAI followed at 39.7%, a gain of 0.23 points, while xAI rose to 4.0%.

The adoption ranking does not match spending patterns. Anthropic's Fable 5 model captured only 6% of enterprise token purchases and 11.4% of total spending. OpenAI's GPT-5.6 SOL model took a 25% share of token usage and 23% of spending.

Ramp based the index on payment data from its corporate cards and bill-pay services, tracking which AI products businesses actually use. CryptoBriefing reported the findings.
