In the latest weekly flow data it cited, Sandisk saw the largest net retail selling among individual names at $125 million. Apple and Tesla followed with net outflows of $120 million and $105 million, while Nvidia, American Airlines and Meta also posted retail net selling of $65 million, $40 million and $22 million, respectively. Over the past two weeks, net retail selling in both Apple and Tesla reached $200 million. At the same time, total retail single-stock trading volume climbed to a record $370 billion, up from $220 billion at the start of 2026. The figures point to a wave of profit-taking by retail traders after what the source described as a historic rally in technology shares.
