According to a CoinDesk report cited by ChainCatcher, Ripple is trying to bring XRP and its stablecoin Ripple USD into the AI agent payments market. The effort is aimed at entering an on-chain micropayments system that is still dominated by the dollar stablecoin USD Coin.

Ripple has released the “XRPL AI Starter Kit,” a developer-focused toolkit designed to help build payment capabilities for AI agents. The toolkit enables agents to make payments, check balances and perform wallet operations on the XRP Ledger. It also supports automated payment flows based on the x402 protocol.

At the current stage, Ripple has not disclosed any scaled deployment customers or real production-level AI agent payment transaction data. Based on the information released so far, the initiative remains in an early phase focused on infrastructure and developer ecosystem exploration.
