Santiment said the number of wallets holding between 10 and 10,000 Bitcoin has climbed to 20,338, the highest level on record. The analytics firm said this cohort has expanded steadily since mid-July, even as Bitcoin has gone through sharp price swings over the same period. According to Santiment, the behavior of this group has historically been closely tied to Bitcoin’s later price direction. The firm said that when prices move sideways or swing sharply, growth in wallets within this holding range can signal that well-capitalized investors are still confident and are not leaving the market during weaker conditions. The update points to continued accumulation among larger Bitcoin holders, based on Santiment’s reading of past market patterns and the recent rise in wallet counts.

ChainCatcher reported that Santiment said in a post on X that the number of wallets holding between 10 and 10,000 Bitcoin has reached 20,338, setting a new all-time high.

Santiment said the size of this cohort has shown strong growth since mid-July, even though Bitcoin’s price has been highly volatile during that span.

Based on historical patterns, Santiment said this group has been closely linked to Bitcoin’s future price direction. It added that when prices are choppy, an increase in large holders entering this range suggests that deep-pocketed investors are still confident rather than exiting during periods of market weakness.
