Consumers said on Aug. 24 that the "SKhynix Flagship Store" on Taobao Tmall had suddenly announced it would end operations, prompting concerns about after-sales service and warranty coverage for memory modules already purchased, according to reports cited by The Paper and others. The store’s homepage said it plans to voluntarily cease operations on Sept. 9, 2026, and all products have already been removed. The store also can no longer be directly found through Taobao search. Taobao customer service said buyers can still apply for repair or refunds through the order details page if their orders remain within the after-sales service period. If no service entry is available, or the seller does not respond, users can contact platform customer service for assistance or check whether official brand warranty support still applies. Separately, SK Hynix shares opened lower and continued to fall on Aug. 25, down more than 4% as of the time referenced in the report. Another report said union members rejected a preliminary wage agreement reached after two months of negotiations, with 50.08% of 15,045 participating employees voting against it.
