Slack has introduced a new feature called Slackforce Surfaces, adding AI-generated workspaces directly inside chat. The tool lets users build interactive reports, dashboards, presentations and similar assets by describing what they need to Slackbot. Slack said the system pulls information from relevant conversations as well as connected apps such as Google Drive and Salesforce, then creates the requested content automatically. Once generated, a Surface can be shared with colleagues or pinned in a channel so others can view it, interact with it and leave comments. In an example cited by Slack, a user asks Slackbot to make a chart that visualizes AI token usage in an arcade-style format. The update was reported by Techub, citing The Verge.
