The service agreement sets a monthly uptime target of 99.9% and includes 24/7 emergency response coverage.
Despite the operational handoff, Soneium will retain ownership of the chain and control over its development roadmap. The team said it will continue building around tokenized IP and onchain entertainment use cases, including onchain royalty distribution and AI-native IP tools. Optimism also made clear that the collaboration does not involve launching a new chain or adding new cross-chain functionality.
