Among the tracked sectors, the AI sector declined 3.37%, showing notable weakness in the latest sector-level data. Within the AI sector, token performance was highly mixed: Siren (SIREN) fell 21.45%, Venice Token (VVV) dropped 13.08%, while Velvet (VELVET) surged 141.11%, making it one of the strongest individual performers mentioned in the data.
AI Sector Weakens as VELVET Moves Sharply Higher
The AI sector data showed a clear contrast between broad pressure and individual token strength. SIREN and VVV both posted double-digit losses, while VELVET recorded a 141.11% gain despite the sector’s overall decline. The crypto sector index tracking historical performance also reflected weakness in this category, with the ssiAI index down 6.35%.
NFT Sector Outperforms as BTC and ETH Edge Up
The NFT sector stood out in the same SoSoValue dataset, rising 29.36% over 24 hours. Within the sector, Audiera (BEAT) gained 55.7%, contributing to the sector’s strong performance in the reported period. Major crypto assets were slightly higher: Bitcoin (BTC) rose 0.73% and traded in a narrow range around the $62,000 level, while Ethereum (ETH) gained 0.24% and remained above $1,600.
Other sectors mostly remained in negative territory. The CeFi sector fell 0.12% over 24 hours, although NEXO (NEXO) rose 3.62%. The Layer1 sector declined 1.22%, with NEAR Protocol (NEAR) down 8.22%. The PayFi sector dropped 1.36%, while Monero (XMR) climbed 9.25% intraday. The Meme sector fell 1.42%, but 币安人生(币安人生)was relatively firm, gaining 6.67%.
Layer2 was also lower, falling 2.16%, with Optimism (OP) down 4.67%. The DeFi sector declined 2.8%, while LAB (LAB) fell 13.78%. Crypto sector indices tracking historical sector performance showed mixed readings: ssiMAG7 rose 0.61% and ssiCeFi gained 0.47%, while ssiAI declined 6.35%. The reported data presented a market picture in which many sectors moved lower, NFTs advanced strongly, and BTC and ETH posted modest gains.
