Tencent Cloud’s WorkBuddy and CodeBuddy teams have issued a notice explaining compensation for an earlier DeepSeek model service disruption. The teams said affected users will receive a full refund of the points consumed while using DeepSeek between Oct. 8 and Oct. 14. In addition, all users of the domestic versions of WorkBuddy and CodeBuddy will receive an extra 500 points. The update follows an earlier apology from DeepSeek over a system failure, when it said spending by affected accounts during the same seven-day period, from Oct. 8 to Oct. 14, would be fully returned in the form of bonus credits. The notice was cited by ChainCatcher in a 7x24 news update.
