In the U.S., the Performance version requires a $50,000 reservation deposit, with $5,000 due upfront and the remaining $45,000 payable within 10 days. The Thrust version carries a much higher $250,000 reservation deposit, also split into an initial $5,000 payment and a $245,000 balance due within 10 days. The Rocket version is currently available by invitation only. On Tesla’s China website, Roadster reservations are now open as well, but the available option differs from the U.S. site. For now, only the Performance version is listed for reservation in China, with a reservation deposit of RMB 332,000. The update was reported by TechFlow on Oct. 16.
