According to Odaily, Ethereum core developer Trent Van Epps recently published a long article saying that Ethereum is entering a critical stage of institutional transition. The issues he outlined include the allocation of legitimacy, the evolution of governance structures, and a potential protocol funding crisis. His comments placed the discussion on Ethereum’s institutional arrangements and funding safeguards.
Tom Lee responds to the funding question
Bitmine Chairman Tom Lee responded to the remarks. Lee said the likelihood of Ethereum facing this type of crisis is zero, adding that “funds are in place.” His response directly addressed the protocol funding crisis described by Trent Van Epps and rejected the view that Ethereum is facing such a funding problem.
Data also shows that Bitmine has recently been increasing its Ethereum holdings every week. The company’s total Ethereum position has now exceeded 5.62 million ETH. That holding figure, together with Lee’s statement on funding, forms the central point of the latest update.
