At the Proof of Talk conference in Paris, Tom Lee—Head of Research at Fundstrat and Chairman of Bitmine—shared a highly bullish vision for Ethereum. He foresees ETH reaching $250,000 as artificial intelligence and tokenization fundamentally reshape the financial infrastructure. In a machine-to-machine economy, Lee argues, Ethereum will transition from a speculative digital asset into a primary global currency used to pay for automated computing processing power.
Bitmine’s Accumulation and the Rise of Corporate Validators
Bitmine recently disclosed a significant purchase of 111,942 ETH, elevating its total holdings to nearly 5.4 million ETH, accounting for around 4.47% of the circulating supply. Lee noted that Bitmine now meets the eligibility criteria for the Russell 1000 Index and that its staking model has substantially outperformed simply holding spot ETH. He contends that corporate validators are set to replace the shrinking Ethereum Foundation as the backbone of network management; currently, corporate entities collectively control 7% of Ethereum’s circulating supply.
Market Bottom and Price Outlook
Lee interprets the prevailing bearish sentiment as marking a market bottom for both Bitcoin and Ethereum. He cautioned that selling short today would be equivalent to selling at the nadir. According to his calculations, if Ethereum reaches the $250,000 target, Bitmine’s stock would surge to $5,000.
