A data leak tied to Trump Mobile exposed information on about 3,615 customers, with reports saying the records included people in Donald Trump’s orbit and within the Trump Organization. Straight Arrow News said the data appeared on ransomware group BYOD’s leak site last week and contained names, email addresses, phone numbers, home addresses, and order details. Reportedly included were Trump Organization Vice President Eric Brunnett and Assistant General Counsel Nicholas Hayes. International Cyber Digest separately said it confirmed that longtime Trump adviser and current White House staffer Jason Miller, along with pro-Trump influencer Bo Loudon, were also in the leaked set. According to ICD, the attacker said access was obtained after a Liberty Mobile employee was hit with an infostealer. The same report said neither Trump Mobile nor Liberty Mobile was using multi-factor authentication, and that no security team or outside support was handling the incident. The leak comes after Trump Mobile had already faced supply problems with its T1 Phone, which took more than 11 months to reach customers who had pre-ordered. Nearly 600,000 customers had paid $100 each, or almost $60 million in total, to reserve the device.

Trump Mobile customer data was leaked last week, exposing information tied to about 3,615 subscribers. Straight Arrow News (SAN) reported that the records, posted on ransomware group BYOD’s leak site, included customer names, email addresses, telephone numbers, home addresses, and order details.

SAN said the leaked data reportedly included Trump Organization Vice President Eric Brunnett and the company’s Assistant General Counsel Nicholas Hayes.

Cybersecurity outlet International Cyber Digest (ICD) also said it confirmed that Jason Miller, a longtime Trump adviser who now serves on the White House staff, and pro-Trump influencer Bo Loudon were part of the exposed dataset.

How Trump Mobile is structured

Trump Mobile is a mobile network owned by T1 Mobile, which licenses Trump’s name from the Trump Organization. T1 Mobile is managed by Liberty Mobile.

Attacker says access came through an infostealer

ICD said it spoke with the person behind the Trump Mobile attack. The attacker claimed they targeted a Liberty Mobile employee with an infostealer and used that access to get in.

ICD also reported that neither Trump Mobile nor Liberty Mobile was using multi-factor authentication. The report added that there was no security team, and no third-party support was handling the incident.

According to the attackers, when they first contacted Trump Mobile, the company replied, 「We have no team to handle this,」 and said anyone who hacked them was a terrorist. BYOD also claimed, 「They basically told us to go fuck ourselves.」

T1 Phone delays and the size of the preorder base

Trump Mobile had already run into supply issues this year. After taking over, it took more than 11 months to send pre-ordered T1 Phones to customers.

Nearly 600,000 customers paid $100 each to reserve the phones, for a total of almost $60 million. It remains unclear why the breach appears to have affected only about 3,600 customers rather than the full 600,000 preorder base.

In a post on X, Trump Mobile wrote: 「The T1 Phone has arrived!! Those who pre-ordered the T1 Phone will be receiving an update email. Phones start shipping this week!!!」 The account’s last post was made in August.
