UAE-based AI firm G42 is getting ready to expand its data center capacity to 5 gigawatts (GW) and is, for now, waiting on deliveries of Nvidia chips, according to Tech in Asia. Its data center unit, Khazna, wants to bring the first 200 megawatts (MW) of a new campus online in the fourth quarter. And G42 is also teaming up with Saudi Arabia to build large-scale data centers across the Middle East to back AI development. Even with the risk of war in the region, both countries are still pressing ahead with the strategy.
