TechFlow reported on June 16, citing Bitget market data, that major US stock indexes opened with mixed moves. The Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 0.08%, the S&P 500 was close to flat, and the Nasdaq Composite fell 0.17% at the open.
SpaceX Moves Higher at the Open
Among individual names, SpaceX(SPCX.O) rose 9% during the opening session. Based on the same market data, its market capitalization surpassed Amazon, lifting SpaceX to fifth place among US companies by market value.
Semiconductor and Storage Stocks Trade Mixed
US semiconductor and storage-related stocks showed diverging moves. Marvell Technology (MRVL.O) fell 2.16%, Nvidia (NVDA) declined 0.95%, Intel (INTC) dropped 1.42%, Advanced Micro Devices (AMD) slipped 0.42%, and Broadcom (AVGO) was down 0.78%. On the gaining side, Qualcomm (QCOM) rose 3.01%, Seagate Technology (STX) climbed 3.85%, Western Digital (WDC) gained 6.31%, and SanDisk (SNDK) advanced 1.41%.
Crypto-related equities were also mixed at the open. Strategy (MSTR) fell 0.85%, Coinbase (COIN) edged up 0.01%, Circle (CRCL) declined 1.15%, and SharpLink Gaming (SBET) slipped 0.07%. The opening figures showed uneven performance across these crypto-linked names, while storage-related stocks such as Western Digital and Seagate posted stronger gains within the listed group.
