UTILITY, a stock-themed meme token tied to Binance Wallet trading narratives, pulled back to a $7.3 million market capitalization on Aug. 14, according to GMGN market data. Its 24-hour gain narrowed to 18.5x, while trading volume reached $20.3 million. The token had briefly climbed above the $10 million market-cap mark the night before. The move came as bStocks recirculated an old Jan. 30 post from Changpeng Zhao, or CZ, in which he said GME should issue a utility token on-chain, preferably on BSC. On the same day, bStocks said GMEB, described as the bStocks version of GameStop tokenized stock, is now trading on the platform. BlockBeats noted that UTILITY trades against GMEB rather than more standard liquidity pairings such as BNB or USDT. It described the setup as part of a popular "stock meme" trend on BSC, where tokenized U.S. equities from bStocks are used as the base pool asset. In this case, the pairing leans on the long-running GameStop retail-versus-Wall Street meme stock narrative. BlockBeats also warned that meme tokens often lack practical use cases and can see sharp price swings.

UTILITY, a Binance Wallet stock meme token, has fallen back to a $7.3 million market capitalization, with its 24-hour gain narrowing to 18.5x and 24-hour trading volume reaching $20.3 million, according to GMGN market data cited by BlockBeats on Aug. 14.

The token's market cap had briefly moved above $10 million the previous night.

bStocks reposts CZ's earlier comment

Changpeng Zhao, or CZ, had written on Jan. 30: 「GME should issue a utility token on blockchain, preferably on BSC.」 On Aug. 14, bStocks reposted that earlier message and said GMEB, described as the bStocks version of GameStop tokenized stock, is now trading on the platform.

UTILITY is paired with GMEB, not BNB or USDT

BlockBeats noted that the trading pair for UTILITY is UTILITY/GMEB rather than a more common liquidity pairing such as BNB or USDT. It said the structure fits into the current "stock meme" trend on BSC, where tokenized U.S. stock assets from bStocks are used as the base pool asset. In this case, that asset is GMEB, and the narrative draws on the familiar GameStop story of retail traders versus Wall Street and the broader meme stock theme.

BlockBeats also reminded users that meme coins often do not have practical use cases and can carry large price swings, and said investors should remain cautious.
