Wall Street Goes Shopping: Multiple Crypto Infrastructure Deals Emerge
While Bitcoin prices continue to slide and retail investors panic-sell, traditional Wall Street institutions are aggressively buying into crypto financial infrastructure. According to a report from MarsBit, a series of major transactions and applications have surfaced: Invesco has filed for a tokenized fund; crypto exchange Kraken is in talks to acquire decentralized lending protocol Aave; Circle has partnered with Japan's Nomura Securities to advance stablecoin cross-border settlements; and Japanese financial conglomerate SBI has acquired local exchange Bitbank in a bid to build a full-stack crypto financial group.
These moves are not driven by short-term price fluctuations but by the maturing regulatory environment and technological infrastructure. Ownership of crypto infrastructure is systematically shifting from native crypto natives to traditional Wall Street institutions. For the industry, this signals more stable capital inflows, higher compliance standards, and broader mainstream adoption. While retail investors sell in fear, institutional money is quietly laying the tracks for the next decade of finance.
