Odaily reported that, according to monitoring by on-chain analyst Ai Yi, address 0x770…399f2 bought 112.86 WBTC on April 14, at what was described as the starting point of the market’s upward move at that time. The average purchase price was $71,655, and the position was valued at about $8.08 million.

The position once recorded more than $1 million in unrealized profit in mid-May. However, the address continued to hold instead of taking profit during that period. The position was eventually closed in batches on June 16 and again seven hours before the report, with a selling price of $64,723.

Based on the reported purchase and sale prices, the assets held by the address shrank by about 10% over the two-month holding period. WBTC is a tokenized form of bitcoin used on-chain, and this case records the full path of one whale address moving from a seven-figure unrealized gain to a final exit after the position declined.
