WebX 2026 unveils new speakers and sponsors
WebX 2026, billed as Asia’s flagship Web3 and blockchain conference, has announced a fresh round of global speakers and sponsors ahead of its July 13-14, 2026 event at The Prince Park Tower Tokyo. The conference is planned and hosted by CoinPost, a Japanese crypto media outlet.

The announcement comes during a key stage in Japan’s crypto policy changes. According to the event materials, Japan’s House of Representatives has passed an amendment to the Financial Instruments and Exchange Act that would formally classify crypto assets as “financial products.” The proposal also envisions cutting eligible crypto trading taxes from as high as 55% to about 20% under separate taxation.
Large financial firms appear across the lineup
A major feature of this year’s event is the stronger presence of traditional financial institutions. Mastercard, Fidelity International, Franklin Templeton, Swift and SBI Holdings are among the companies listed as major sponsors or represented by senior executives on stage.
Over two days, the conference will focus on the next phase of the digital asset sector, with sessions on stablecoin applications, AI, tokenization and changing regulatory frameworks.

Program highlights and confirmed speakers
Published agenda highlights include a special keynote from Bitmine Chairman Tom Lee, along with panels titled “Asia’s Crypto Powerhouse: Policy, Liquidity and Trust Fuel Strong Growth” and “Stablecoins in Action: Reshaping APAC Retail Payments.” Organizers said the agenda will continue to expand, with discussions expected from the perspectives of global financial institutions, technology companies and policymakers.
Confirmed speakers listed in the announcement include Tom Lee of Bitmine; Franklin Bi, General Partner at Pantera Capital; Yoshitaka Kitao, Representative Director, Chairman, President and CEO of SBI Holdings; Giselle Lai, Head of Digital Asset Strategy, Asia Pacific at Fidelity International; Christian Rau, SVP for Digital Assets, Blockchain and Fintech Enablement at Mastercard; Carole House, former White House adviser and CEO of Penumbra Strategies; Chetan Karkhanis, Senior Vice President at Franklin Templeton; Fiona Murray, APAC Vice President and Managing Director at Ripple; David Walsh, Enterprise Lead at the Ethereum Foundation; Avalon Ingram, Digital Assets Lead at Swift; former Federal Reserve System Chief Innovation Officer Sunayana Tuteja; and Takafumi Horie.
