Base, the Layer 2 network under Coinbase, is preparing to roll out the Beryl hard fork. The upgrade introduces the B20 native token standard, shortens the final confirmation period for single-proof withdrawals from 7 days to 5 days, and upgrades to Reth V2, which reduces disk usage by 50% and increases throughput by 33%. Beryl is scheduled to activate on the Sepolia testnet at 2:00 a.m. UTC+8 on June 19 and on mainnet at 2:00 a.m. UTC+8 on June 26.
B20 is Base’s native token standard. It is an ERC-20-compatible token implemented through Rust precompiles and is designed for stablecoin issuers, RWA issuers and long-tail token issuers. Its built-in compliance toolkit includes transfer policies, freezing and seizure, role-based access control, memos and supply caps. For withdrawals, the final decision window for the single-proof dispute resolution process is shortened from 7 days to 5 days. The dual-proof fast path introduced by Azul, using TEE plus ZK, remains at 1 day.

June 28 has no listed events; SpaceX bond plan remains unscheduled

No specific events are listed for June 28. Under items with no fixed date, people familiar with the matter said the banking team working with SpaceX (SPCX.O) could begin investor calls as early as next week to discuss a bond issuance after the company completes a record IPO. The bond deal is expected to be at least $20 billion, and investor communication could start as early as Monday. The plan and timing remain subject to change.

SpaceX plans to issue investment-grade U.S. dollar bonds for the first time. Proceeds from the offering will be used to refinance a $20 billion bridge loan that matures in September 2027. IPO filings submitted by SpaceX to the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission show that, as of March 31, the bridge loan made up the bulk of the company’s $29.1 billion in long-term debt. People familiar with the matter said Bank of America, Citi, JPMorgan, Goldman Sachs and Morgan Stanley jointly provided the bridge loan and will lead underwriting for the bond offering.
