Odaily reported that, according to monitoring by on-chain analyst Yu Jin, a whale that recently shorted ETH continued to increase its short exposure after ETH rebounded. The address borrowed 9,000 ETH from Aave and transferred the ETH to Binance. It then withdrew 16.37 million USDT from Binance.
Total ETH Short Position Reaches 44,000 ETH
Based on the data disclosed by Yu Jin, the whale is currently short a total of 44,000 ETH, with a stated value of $78.89 million. The average short entry price is $1,702. Following the ETH rebound, the position is currently in unrealized loss, with the floating loss reported at $3.08 million.
The monitored transaction path shows three key steps: borrowing ETH from Aave, transferring the ETH to Binance, and withdrawing USDT afterward. The figures reflect the on-chain and exchange-related fund movements observed by Yu Jin, as well as the whale’s current ETH short size, average short price and unrealized loss.
