ChainCatcher reported, citing monitoring by on-chain analyst Yu Jin, that a whale has fully closed a 1,105 BTC position held for about seven months. Under the figures disclosed in the monitoring note, the coins were valued at $69.43 million at the time of the exit, and the realized loss amounted to $26.9 million. The key on-chain movement was that the BTC, previously withdrawn to on-chain addresses, was transferred in full to Binance.
1,105 BTC moved back to Binance
According to Yu Jin’s monitoring, the whale withdrew BTC from Binance and OKX to on-chain addresses between last November and this February, with an average acquisition price of $87,181. The total amount involved was 1,105 BTC. In the latest move, the whale sent all of these coins to Binance and completed the exit with a $26.9 million loss.
The information disclosed in the item focuses on the flow path of a large BTC holder: coins were first taken out from Binance and OKX to the blockchain, and then the whole position returned to Binance. In crypto market terminology, a whale generally refers to an address or investor holding a large amount of digital assets. The report did not disclose the identity of the address or any additional details beyond the BTC amount, dollar value, average price, platforms involved and loss figure.
