According to monitoring by OnchainLens, the well-known on-chain address “pension-usdt.eth” has fully closed out its Bitcoin short position today, locking in a profit of $3.56 million from the trade. OnchainLens, a platform specializing in tracking large on-chain transactions, captured the whale's closing activity in real time.

Immediately after exiting the BTC short, the same address shifted its focus to the ETH market. It opened a short position of 50,000 ETH with 3x leverage, with a total notional value of approximately $89 million at entry. Since the position was opened, Ethereum's price has moved in the whale's favor, and the short is now showing unrealized gains of over $4.5 million.

Cumulatively, the whale's total profit now exceeds $39.6 million, combining the realized gains from the Bitcoin short and the unrealized floating profit from the Ethereum short. These moves highlight the address's ability to extract significant returns through high-leverage strategies in the crypto market.
